Where do kids living in a foster home go to school?

I am righting a story, and I don’t know where they would go to school. Like, does the foster home have its own teachings, like home schooling? Or do they go to their city’s school district?
Foster homes, as in like an adoption center. Where kids wait for people to take thm into their care..

In the school district their foster parents live in.

In the school where I teach, a whole bunch of foster kids were all in the school at once and didn’t get along at all. They fought all the time at home and brought those troubles to school too. They go to the nearest school. Usually, foster parents have enough to do regarding taking care of the kids without also teaching them at home.
