How come White people send their kids to private or home schooling, brag about it, only to get a stupid kid?
younglady600 asked:
White people brag on private school and home schooling like they are actually doing their kid a favor. This just goes to show the ignorance that is socially bred among White culture to believe in hysteria and urban legand rather than cold hard facts. People who graduate from private school can’t hold a candle to a Black or a White kid who went to public school and are usually better in diverse topics of conversation. Public schools outperform private schools in academics, arts and sports every year. Only a few private schools do well, most of which are in England, and the American one’s that do well pretend that they represent private schools in general, when in general, private schools and home schooled children are a flop and are far behind their college peers when they enroll. When will White people see that their privately schooled children are always the **** of a joke when they go out in public, open their mouths, and America gets a taste of they “learned” in school?
what terry doesn’t know is that of course certain magazines will cover a sole story where a few kids did good. however, if you talk to the college admissions board themselves, they will tell you that the majority of home schooled kids, unless they are super rich with three private teachers, have horrible, inadequate education and barely make it into college at the rate of those schooled outside the home, and the ones that do sneak by have a hard time in college and can barely keep up,
you will always have potheads and rejects who don’t want to listen to teachers, those people will have all kinds of problems in their life. most properly raised children don’t act like that, the school is not the problem, they are.

i didn’t even read any of the details
you’re a racist
Jakob
where are you getting these “facts” from. you sound like you just have something personal against private schools, or whites.
Marcus
i’m sorry your racisit and so your opinion is just that and does not apply to all just because you think … about … people doesn’t mean it right
Maxim
right, and there are zero black kids in private schools. LOL i think i may agree with the “answer police” on this one!

That is not true and I don’t know where you got those statistics. Even the AARP magazine was saying that now colleges are accepting children from home schooled environments. It is not your usual parent; child school. But many small towns across America has a teachers aid or a real teacher conduct the class but the students learn by computer via classrooms across the country. With only 6 students of the same *** in these small classrooms they get the individual attention they need. They are not all white students that is a very false impression. Many of the students are from black family’s. I didn’t go there but know some who did and in the class they had Asian, 2white, black and Native American [Indian] and one we are not sure what she was.
They all scored higher on the college entrance exam then the ones who went to public school. They were real excited about that and the teacher said they usually do. So your facts are wrong. Better read up on that first.
It is excellent for children that would be ridiculed or tortured in public school which doesn’t make allowances for anything less than perfect.
For gifted students who want to progress faster than the other students. Each has their work assignment.

That shows you do not know anything about home schooling in my class of 6 we were like home schooled in that we had a teachers aid and learned by computers connected to classrooms all over the country. She helps on some things but for the most part she is just there to see that we do are work by computers. We even take our tests that way. The graduating class before us went into college with high SAT scores. Half of those students were black.
It is a better choice than being bussed for two hours to some big city school and jammed into a classroom with 40 other kids an and over worked teacher.
They told us all of the home schooled were higher on SAT scores than the city kids in regular school. Who were more interested in boys and sports than grades.
Everyone starts out with learning their computer and typeing is required in the early grades.

That is not true the home schooled kids at the college had higher SAT scores than we did.
I flunked out of regular High School. I was one of the imperfect children. The teacher thought I couldn’t learn.
I went to VOTECH where there was many home schooled or partially home schooled because it isn’t their parents but a designated person who runs a small room of students who learn on computers.
Anyway, they went right into learning a trade. But I had to study until I could pass a GED. The teacher told me the home schooled or those who learn on computers far excelled those from public school so that shouldn’t bother me.
I finally got my GED, then took Accounting and got a job for a construction company and now I am the owners assistant.
So I could learn! But not in public school.
But knowing that they do better on SAT scores I had to comment. Also, High School is not a positive experience for all students. I know it wasn’t for me.

I don’t know who told you that but it isn’t true. My grand daughter was in high school and was barely able to read and write. When she came here and we had her tested she was several grades behind where she should be in school. So we enrolled her in a small class of 5 students with all girls that learn on computers. It was called home schooling.
In a short time she caught up to where she should be and is now doing work of grades much higher. She has her self esteem back and seems to be adjusting very well.
We are going to be able to enroll her in a vocational school when she passes a GED. She wants to be a nurse.
So it does work for some people and her whole class seems to do better than they did in regular school.

Homeschoolers come from various ethnic backgrounds. According to some statistics, ten percent of all homeschoolers are African American.
I don’t know which group(s) of white people you have been around, but I have worked around many, had acquaintanceships with many, have “e-friendships” with many, and have not heard many of them bragging about private schooling or homeschooling. I believe that white people, just like most people, want to give their children the best education possible.
Everyone who is homeschooling is not doing it so they can keep their children away from children of diverse ethnic backgrounds. Some people live in areas where there is much crime, disrepect for authority, and horrible peer influence. Others live where the public schools can/do not meed the needs of their children.
My son attended a private kindergarten and was admitted to one of the better public magnet schools in the city of Chicago for first grade. During his brief stint in the first grade at this better public school, he complained constantly about boredom and the “baby work” his peers were doing. He had already done this work in kindergarten. A couple of months later, I began homeschooling him, and he was recently diagnosed as being “cognitively gifted.”
Perhaps you live in an area where the public schools challenge a bright, gifted, motivated, or talented child, and if you do, I am glad for you. Maybe the neighborhood schools near where you live are producing literate individuals. However, many people do not. Unfortunately, my neighborhood school has only 26% of its students passing the Iowa Test of Basic Skills which is why I chose to apply to 25 schools to get my son into a “magnet school”; later on, I discovered that this school could not meet his needs either.
Then, there are those who want to teach their children Christian/religious values on a daily basis. Christian/religious values are not taught in public schools but can be taught well in the context of a loving family.
A child can do well academically, but if he/she is not a person of excellent character all the education in the world will not serve him/her well. I, as a Christian, discovered that my first grade son had picked up many bad habits, foul language, unseemly behavior in public school pre-kindergarten and in a private Christian home learning center. He and I are working on building Christian character.
Your comments are biased and prejudiced; it sounds as though you have had negative experiences with white people–so have I, but I don’t judge the masses by my limited experiences. One simply cannot make judgments about millions of families with whom one has had no contact.

lol. This is so funny. I saw you post this question another time and you basically got the same responses. That you’re an idiot, your facts are bogus, and that private school kids and home schooled kids do just fine, usually better than public school children. Public school kids let anyone graduate while private schools actually have standards. I knew a girl who transferred from public school to private school. In public school she had straight A’s and was flying through every course. In private school, she was instantly dropped down to a C average and was struggling. Why? Because the public school she went to had such low standards that it wasnt a challenge at all. The private school had much higher standards and she actually had to start using her brain..obviously something you haven’t had to do yet.
I don’t know who is feeding you your “statistics” but you need to get a new source because they couldn’t be farther from the truth. I went to private school and had alot of friends from public school. I was never the **** of any jokes. Infact my public school friends were constantly asking me to explain things to them, and to spell things for them, because they never had to spell any big words in public school. I tried to get into a debate with some of them before and they just got a glassy look in their eyes because they were completely lost.
You are obviously not better in diverse topics because your entire post was just insulting white private schooled children. It wasnt a debate at all, just a bunch of insults. And for your information, I had several black, asian, hispanic, and white friends in private school. It’s not just white people who send their kids there.
Im guessing that you arent any older than 16 and probably got your @ss kicked in a debate by a privately schooled kid so now you have a chip on your shoulder and needed to vent about it. You’d be better off just debating your public school friends, because you’ll never win against someone from private schools. They actually have to use their heads in school to think, not just to hold their 500 piercings and 10 pounds of make up.
Camron
I didn’t read your whole ****** rant either. When you start your question off, condemning an entire race of people, I automatically shut down. Thanks for the 2 points just the same moron.
Steve
I think the urban legends may be more prevalent in the public schools. Im not sure where you got your information but it is almost certainly wrong.
I know because I attended both public and private schools. I went to a private boarding school fro high school, but eschewed the Ivy league for a public university, against everyone’s wishes. I can tell you that my work in high school was more challenging than my college work. There really is no comparison.
There is also much less of the ignorant racism in private schools. My roomate in fact was black. He did fine in school, sports, and socially. There were students of all races there, all intelligent and we all got along together more or less.
Your opinion is almost entirely unfounded, I am really wondering how you develpoed these theories. Furthermore, I am not sure who has ‘bragged’ to you abotu their kids in private schools. Perhaps someone has offended you with their racism and you responded by passing it on, Im not sure.
Homeschool obviously is not standardized. Can you imagine that it would vary greatly? If your parents were authors or Nobel prize winners, you would have a prized education and certainly many advantages. If they were rural ne’er do wells, well you could imagine they wouldn’t do as well. The problem with home schooling from a legislative standpoint is that how do you differentiate? DO you license parents that wish to homeschool? Mandate standardized tests/textbooks? Truth is that even the quality of a public education can vary widely depending on the home environment.
So if someone has bragged to you about their kids in homeschool, and you believe them to be ’stupid’, you may be entirely correct in your judgement. There are certainly ignorant people around every corner and under choice rocks. Just dont make the logical error of generalizing your experience to all people/ white people/ etc.. The problem is then that you may be the one who appears to be stupid.
